Dia de la Independencia

September 2010 is the start of our celebrations of the Bicentennial (200 years) of Mexican Independence.
Our 6th Gastronomic Week festival is taking place from the 8th - 13th September. 10 states in Mexico, with 20 starters and 20 main course dishes to explore. We will also have a limited selection from our A La Carte Menu.
A special 5 course Dia de La Independencia menu is planned at Mestizo on Wednesday, the 15th September, at £59.00 per person. Mariachi, music, el grito (the shout), and the best food this side of Mexico
DOWNSTAIRS at Mestizo lounge bar will be hosting its own party. Entrance is £15.00 per person and includes a welcome corona, with our taqueria serving our wonderful tacos during the evening. Of course the Mariachi will also be performing, so everyone can get into the Mexican Independence Day festivities.

Mexican Chile Pepper Festival

The chile has always had an important presence in the Mexican kitchen. To honour this, Mestizo will be celebrating the Chile Pepper Festival. The week of 7th June to 12th of June, in place of our normal a la carte menu, we will be featuring a special selection of Chile Pepper recipes from all of Mexico, including Poblano, Chilaca, Ancho, Pasilla & Mulato Chiles.
In addition to enjoying these wonderful dishes, you may take home with you some beautifully photographed postcards with all the chile recipes we will be serving.
Come enjoy the chile as you have never tasted before.
Cinco de Mayo and Dia de Las Madres

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo, on the 5th May at Mestizo with a performance by the Mariachi Mexteca at 9.30pm.
Also, on Sunday 9th May, we will be celebrating ‘Dia de Las Madres’ (Mexican Mother’s Day, normally celebrated on the 10th May) with a special Sunday Brunch featuring Chiles en Nogada from 12 noon to 4pm, plus a large selection of other Mexican specialities at the best Mexican Sunday Brunch in London.

It's Festival time once again at Mestizo Restaurant & Tequila Bar.
We will be celbrating our very first Enchiladas Festival.
First developed by the Aztecs, the enchiladas (pronounced as...éhn-chee-lah-dahs') eimply means 'dipped in chile').
Nowadays, there are a wide variety of fillings and sauces used, so pop along and check out a great menu of special enchiladas recipes at London's premier Mexican restarurant.
