Mexican Chile Pepper Festival

The chile has always had an important presence in the Mexican kitchen. To honour this, Mestizo will be celebrating with our own Chile Pepper Festival. The week of 8th June to 15th of June, in place of our normal a la carte menu, we will be featuring a special selection of Chile Pepper recipes from all of Mexico, including Poblano, Chilaca, Ancho, Pasilla & Mulato chiles.
In addition to enjoying these wonderful dishes, you may take home with you some beautifully photographed postcards with all the chile recipes we will be serving.

Enchiladas Festival

It's Festival time once again at Mestizo, Mexican Restaurant & Tequila Bar. We will be celebrating our very fourth Enchiladas Festival. First developed by the Aztecs, the enchiladas (pronounced as...éhn-chee-lah-dahs') simply means 'dipped in chile'.

Children and Families Across Borders (CFAB) International Spring Fair opens it's doors for the 54th time on the 14th & 15th May 2013 at Kensington and Chelsea Town Hall. Every year over 120 countries take part by hosting a stall which sells products that are exclusive to their nation. Each Diplomatic Mission sells an exciting array of national crafts and products, from jewellery, textiles and scarves, to designer handbags. With so many different countries involved the atmosphere is electric with several countries also providing additional entertainment which includes music and performances from national dance troupes. The International Food Court of which Mestizo, Mexican Restaurant & Tequila Bar will participate is situated on the first floor.

Mole Festival & Dia de los Muertos
26th October to 2nd November 2012
Mestizo will be holding our fourth 'Festival del Mole', featuring a special menu of 12 'MOLE' (moh-lay) sauces and authentic recipes from Mexico. These sauces may contain up to 40+ ingredients, and each estado (state) in Mexico will have their own regional specialities.
This time also coincides with the 'DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS' (Day of the Dead, Halloween, All Saints Day) celebrations on the 1st & 2nd November and Mestizo will be having a special altar commissioned and displayed in the restaurant, to welcome back our 'dear departed'... as well as a selection of seasonal specialities.
Bring your cameras and your appetites. If there is a special person you would like to remember, then bring a photograph of them to place on our altar. In Mexico, the Day of the Dead is a time of remembrance and is a joyful celebration of life.

A time of fun and games as we get ready for one of the most exciting times in London for many years. Join us and avoid the crowds but still see all the action on our 4 TV screens both in the restaurant and DOWNSTAIRS at Mestizo.

Mexico is playing in the preliminary football starting on Thursday 26th July, at 2.30pm - Mexico v Korea, then on Sunday 29th July at 2.30pm - Mexico v Gabon and Wednesday 1 August at 5pm - Mexico v Switzerland. (Keep the 4th August - (Quarter Finals) - 7 August - (Semi Finals) - 10 August - (Bronze) and 11 August (Gold) free and cheer Mexico all the way, as Mestizo Mexican Restaurant & Tequila Bar will be holding a giant taco party to celebrate and we will be showing all of the games on our 4 TV screens (no reservations, so first come, first served).
